Interview: In Person Marketing At Wedding Shows
Marketing is an incredibly important piece of your wedding business puzzle. But you already know that, right? Hopefully by now you’ve seen me blog endlessly on tips for social media and more.
But have you thought about in-person marketing to grow your wedding business and meet potential clients?
I wholeheartedly believe in wedding shows to connect with engaged couples.
And yes, I know they have a terrible reputation for being outdated and out of touch. (I don’t disagree. The wedding show industry has some serious catching up to do to join present day couples and trends.)
From an exhibitor’s perspective I know how frustrating it is to put in the investment and effort to participate, only to find you don’t stand out amongst the cheesy vendors, hocking “today only” deals, and lead-seeking insurance salesmen. If your Ideal Client community is there, they might quickly be aggravated, disappointed, and heading for the door. As my business evolved, I grew out of the typical shows.
So in 2019 I launched Wed Well Showcase. A boutique wedding show for handpicked wedding pros from across the Greater Toronto Area to connect with the area’s modern and style-savvy couples. Wed Well has been an adventure over the years, and really useful to diversify my income steams.
